Making decisions in today's rapidly changing technology
environment can be both challenging and can come with some substantial risk. IMI has a
scalable team of resources to help you evaluate as well as implement the electronic document solution that fits your
document management needs.
The Information Management International team has
expertise in designing and implementing large-scale digital
imaging projects at the client's site or at a site maintained by an IMI affiliate.
The services available range from mapping project requirements (number of scanners, throughput rates, indexing, and quality
assurance, etc.) to providing the equipment, personnel, and supplies for all phases of a digital scanning project.
IMI offers a variety of options to get the right mix of cost,
quality, and speed for the volume of information you need converted and the distribution and
file storage requirements for these digital images.
From the initial point of document preparation,
every precaution is taken to get the result desired by each customer (and potential person needing access to the electronic
information).
It is also critical to build effective indexes. IMI can put
technology to work in automating the process of building an index through the capture process or through some other method
including OCR, bar-coding, or through files provided by the client.
It is IMI's goal to enhance the productivity of your
organization by making information available to you as quickly, as accurately, and as seamlessly as possible. And we take
great care in putting strong quality assurance procedures in place during each step of the process; from preparation to
distribution, to storage.
We work with each customer to understand the appropriate image formats they'll use (from Adobe's "PDF" to GIF, JPEG,
BMP, and TIFF among others).
We analyze conversion requirements carefully from most any source and from most any media. And we work hard to
consider the future direction of electronic information to assure that any future conversion considerations will be
both minimized in frequency and prepared for in advance.
IMI offers choices in storage for electronic information including but not limited to CD-Rs and CD-RWs, Optical Disk,
DVD, and WORM Optical Disk. IMI still may recommend
microfiche for archival copies.
We have the experience, the resources, and the sense of flexibility to help
IMI customers make the right investment and make
informed decisions. Put our IMI
